The Biological Resources Unit (BRU) of the Cleveland Clinic is an integral unit of the Lerner Research Institute. Its function is to give support in matters related to animal experimentation to all Cleveland Clinic scientists who use animals in their research projects. This function is carried out with full consideration of the animal's welfare. All efforts are made to minimize both physical and psychological distress to the animals.
